Seymour High School is a secondary school in Seymour, Connecticut.
Seymour built its first public High School in 1884 on Bank Street. It was on a 2-acre (8,100 m2) piece of property that the town purchased for $3,000 in June 1884. When the school opened in the Fall of 1886, there were 456 students in nine rooms. Later, the building was used as an elementary school known as Center School.
In 1915 Seymour purchased land in the Pine Street area (near Broad Street area) and by 1916 a new high school opened. In the 1960s the Pine Street school was converted to a middle school and a new high school was opened on Botsford Road.[1]
